Next up on our ‘Meet the Team’ is Siobhan Rutter your 2024/25 County Chairlady

Job title:
Organic Dairy farmer and also running my own business breeding dairy heifers and beef cattle

Active YF career:
I have been apart of the mighty Malpas YFC for 12 years now! Can’t believe it 12 years of everything young farmers and so many friends I have made along the way. I have always been driven to get fully involved with Malpas at the age of 16 I was elected onto the committee and I have been on there ever since, in 2019 I took over the role as chairlady it has to be one of my most proudest moments ( apart from being elected as county chairlady!). I didn’t stop there tho not ready to stand down from top table I took over as secretary a role that has been perfect for me as I have been able to use my experience from the last few years to help and guide the new chairs coming in.

Favourite YF Competition
my favourite competition has to be entertainments, what’s not to love! All clubs coming together to put on 4 weeks of amazing talent, the long night of endless rehearsal are definitely worth it when everything falls into place, this competition has really help my confidence grow over the years and without it I honestly wouldn’t be where I am to day.

Favourite YF memory
There is on memory that sticks in my head after all these years and that’s my first ever young farms night! Malpas sports club on a wet and windy November night and I refused to get out of my dads car as I was that scared, after much persuasion from dad I managed to get out and watched him drive away as soon as it did! No going back I had to go in and from that moment my life changed. New members night saw me fail, at chubby bunny but gain new friends that I still have to this day.

What are you most look forward to this year?
Travelling all over the county to support every club throughout this year! And also to HAVE LOTS OF FUN
